Swim Lessons 2025 - Oakbrook Swim and Tennis Club

Basic Information:

All classes are taught on site bty our trained swim instructors using the Red Cross curriculum. Classes with less than 3 participants registered are subject to cancellation and you will be issued a refund. Classes will have 3-6 swimmers per instructor (except in rare circumstances). Come to the first day of lessons about 10 minutes early. If this is your child's first swim lesson, we suggest bringing goggles. Have your child experiment wearing the goggles in the shower or the bathtub to get used to getting their face wet and having the goggles on. We have bathrooms and changing rooms on site. You will pay for your lessons using our STOREFRONT, here on our website. Please pay close attention to the time and level that you are selecting.

  • Refunds will not be issued after purchasing your lessons, all sales are final.
  • If parents are unaware of their child's swim level we encourage you to reach out and schedule a level assessment. Children will not be able to participate in classes that are too advanced for them due to safety. As space allows we will move your child to another class or time. This may cause your child to receive lessons below their instructional level. To schedule a level assessment for your child please email sunnylouwho@gmail.com with the email subject "Swim Level Assessment"
  • Make ups due to weather or your vacation schedule are not available.
  • We will close the pool in the event of lightning or rain so heavy that visibility is impaired. Should that occur, we will post on our facebook page that morning/ in real time as we close.

A session is a package of lessons. When students experience lessons consecutively, taught by the same instructor, they have been shown to make greater progress more quickly. Your price includes 10 successive weekday lessons (M-F) for 30 minutes in length, or 7 successive weekend lessons (Sa & Su) for 45 minutes in length.

There are WEEKDAY sessions which meet Monday through Friday at your designated time. These are identified with numbers 1, 2, 3 & 4.

There are WEEKEND sessions, which meet on Saturdays and Sundays at your designated time. These are identified with letters A, B & C.
